A man from the Samimalai Oldton Estate in the Nilawatte division has reported that his wife, who recently returned from working abroad, has been missing for a month.
The missing woman has been identified as Mohan Nishanthani (33), a mother of two. Her husband lodged a complaint at the Maskeliya Police Station, stating that although his wife returned to Sri Lanka on September 10, 2025, she has not come home since.
Despite searching in several parts of the country, her whereabouts remain unknown. Based on information Nishanthani had shared before returning to Sri Lanka, the husband suspects that a man from Spring Valley, Badulla, may have abducted her.
He has made an emotional appeal to the public, requesting anyone with information about his wife’s whereabouts to contact the Maskeliya Police Station at 052-2277222, or reach out via 0753591052 / 0753435012, or inform the nearest police station.
