Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra Urges Better Coordination for Foreign Employment

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, participated virtually in a discussion on foreign employment held at the Jaffna District Secretariat.

The meeting brought together District Secretaries, Additional Secretaries of the Ministry, Additional District Secretaries, Senior Officials, and District and Divisional Development Officers from across the Northern Province.

During the discussion, the Deputy Minister emphasized enhancing coordination between the Ministry and provincial administrations to promote safe, orderly, and dignified foreign employment opportunities. He also underscored the importance of safeguarding the welfare of Sri Lankan workers and their families engaged in foreign employment.

The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration at both central and provincial levels, ensuring that foreign employment programs are efficiently managed while prioritizing the well-being of the workforce.
