Former Female Ex-Combatant Dies in Jaffna
A tragic incident has been reported in Kokkuvil East, Jaffna, where an unmarried former female combatant took her own life yesterday (27)
The deceased has been identified as 48-year-old Sriskandarasa Thavaroopi, a resident of the area.
According to reports, she had been living with her sister and was believed to be suffering from emotional distress. She reportedly took her life shortly after having lunch yesterday afternoon. The sudden death inquest was conducted by Inquirer into Sudden Deaths, Namasivayam Premkumar.
Following a post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to the relatives.
