Chemmani Mass Grave Excavation Resumes; Four More Human Skeletons Identified
After a one-week break, the third phase of excavations at the Chemmani mass grave resumed today under the supervision of the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court.
During today’s excavation, four additional human skeletons were identified and carefully uncovered.
With the latest discovery, a total of 483 human skeletons have been identified across all three phases of the Chemmani mass grave excavation. Of these, 481 skeletons have been fully exhumed, while work on the remaining discoveries is continuing.
