“Visit Jaffna 2026” Cultural and Culinary Festival to Begin August 15
The “Visit Jaffna 2026 – Cultural and Culinary Festival”, organised by the Northern Province Tourism Bureau, will be held from August 15 to 17, 2026, at the historic Muttaveli Farm Grounds in Jaffna.
The three-day festival aims to showcase the Northern Province’s rich cultural heritage, traditional cuisine, arts and crafts to both local and international tourists, while promoting Jaffna as a leading tourism destination.
The event will feature traditional food exhibitions, handicraft displays and sales, cultural and folk performances, musical programmes, traditional games, and exhibitions by local producers.
Chairman of the Northern Province Tourism Bureau, Dr. J. Vivekanandan, said the festival would provide an important platform to promote the region’s cultural identity, culinary traditions and tourism potential internationally.
The Tourism Bureau has invited local and foreign tourists, investors, entrepreneurs and the general public to participate in the three-day festival.
