Vandalism at Tamil Genocide Monument in Brampton Gets Attention

A recent act of vandalism at the Tamil Genocide Monument in Brampton, Canada, has caught the attention of many in the Tamil community.

Reports say that a few unknown individuals, who had their faces covered, damaged some light fixtures around the monument. Even though the damage wasn’t major, the incident has upset many because the memorial is a meaningful place that honors the victims—Tamils who died during the Sri Lankan civil war.

Police in Brampton are now seriously investigating what happened. They said the people responsible will be identified once the investigation is finished.
