Karur TVK Rally Stampede: 30+ Dead – Demand for Vijay’s Arrest

Karur, Tamil Nadu – A tragic stampede during Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay’s campaign rally in Karur has claimed the lives of over 30 people, leaving many others critically injured. Reports suggest the death toll may rise further.

Following the incident, Tamil Nadu Milk Agents Workers Welfare Association founder Ponnusamy issued a statement demanding Vijay’s arrest, drawing parallels to a similar case in Andhra Pradesh where actor Allu Arjun was detained after a fan’s death during a film release crowd surge.

Ponnusamy criticized Vijay for failing to issue condolences or visit the victims’ families, calling the day a “black chapter in Tamil Nadu’s political history.” He urged the state government to initiate legal action and ensure justice for the deceased.
