Tentigo Breaks Records, Boosts Sri Lankan Cinema
Award winning Filmamker Ilango Ram’s “Tentigo” has shattered box office records in Sri Lanka, surpassing the previous highest collection of 250 million SLR set by Filmmaker Asoka Handagama’s Rani.
The Sri Lankan cinema industry gained major momentum after Indian giant Lyca Productions entered the local market last year. With Rani kicking off the race and Tentigo leading it, the success has opened new doors for Sri Lankan filmmakers and investors to focus on high-quality, digitally enhanced films.
Tentigo has already remaked in Tamil as Perusu and dubbed into 3 other south indian langueges and is set to be remake in several other countries.
