Renowned surgeon Dr. Venkadasalam Sutharshan, a specialist at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, has passed away following a sudden heart attack, leaving the Tamil community in deep sorrow.
He had been in Colombo for a training program when he suddenly fell ill and was admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital. However, doctors confirmed that he had already passed away upon admission.
The cause of death has been confirmed as a sudden heart attack.
The death of doctor Sutharshan, who treated patients with great kindness, support, and a warm smile, has caused sorrow among the public.
