Tamil Nadu Assembly Opposition Leader Udhayanithi Stalin Arrested by Police

Tamil Nadu Assembly Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi Stalin was arrested by the Thanjavur Police on Tuesday (04) after a case was registered over remarks he allegedly made during a public meeting in Thanjavur on Monday.

According to police, Udhayanidhi allegedly made derogatory remarks targeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay and actress Trisha. Following an investigation, a Thanjavur Police team traveled to Chennai, arrested him at his residence, and is escorting him to Thanjavur to be produced before the court.

Police have registered nine charges against Udhayanidhi Stalin, including allegations related to insulting the Chief Minister, making offensive remarks about actress Trisha, and using language considered derogatory toward women.
